What is MUNTW all about? Do you want to be staff a Model United Nations (UN) Conference? Do you ever wonder what occurs behind the scenes during a UN Conference? Do you want to boost your CV and leadership skills as a Model UN trainer? Then Life-link Ghana is happy to provide you the opportunity through the maiden edition of Life-link Model United Nations Training Workshop (MUNTW). This training aims at enhancing the capacity of youth to organize and staff Model UN Conferences at any level and to develop key leadership skills for professional life. It will be a two-day, non-residential workshop from Thursday, 4th to Friday, 5th of January at the Accra International Conference Centre, Ghana. A team of Model UN experts with vast international experience will serve as facilitators to guide workshop participants through detailed and intensive lectures and simulations in the following areas; Conference Management The skills in managing the stay and welfare of delegates and staff at a conference. Chairing Sessions The attitude, knowledge, and skills needed to succeed as: President of General Assembly, President of the Security Council, or Chairperson of a committee. Secretariat Management The skills required to handle the administrative duties during a Model UN Conference. Logistics Management Skills to manage the hardware and IT services for a successful conference. Others Apart from the four main areas above, participants would also be taken through the following;
Why Should I Participate?
How can I register to participate? The youth of all nationalities aged from 18 to 35 years are eligible to participate. Click on the link below to access the registration form (REGISTRATION LINK) Training Workshop Package Training Workshop package includes a certificate upon completion, workshop handbook, workshop stationery, lunch and coffee breaks for both days of the workshop. Application Fee The fee for the Training Workshop is 250 Ghana Cedis for the early bird registration (which ends on the 15th December). For late registration, 350 Ghana cedis is the application fee. The payment slip should be scanned and emailed to info@lifelinkghana.com. If paid through mobile money, text the registered name of mobile money cash agent or the transaction number of the transfer to 0208491778 to complete your registration.
