GLITZ. GLAMOUR. GLITTER: HOW #LTMUN19 DELEGATES STOLE THE OPENING DAY WITH THEIR COSTUMES
Glitz, glamour with much glitter from great tertiary institutions, gathered under one roof to lay bare their genius SDG ideas for a global course, was the atmosphere one could inhale as the 2019 Life-Link Tertiary Model UN Conference kicked off in Accra, Ghana.
To spice up the 2019 conference and bring to bear the cultures of their designated countries, some participants rather decided to make their presence felt by identifying themselves in colourful, and in some cases, intriguing regalia to better represent their respective countries.
The summit which begun on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at the Accra International Conference Centre, (AICC) saw countries such as South Africa, Iraq, Ireland among others representing in country colours and costumes.
According to the delegate of South Africa, Sedinam Botwe, her outfit is inspired by her country’s desire to stand out at all times.
Iranian delegate also had to flaunt her head cloth (hijab) of red and white colours to settle her presence.
Majority of the delegates were seen in suits with the gentlemen topping it up with neck tie.
This year’s conference lasted for 3 days: July 16, 2019 to July 18, 2019, with an exciting road trip taking place on the 19th.
Delegates have been full of praise and recommendations for the opportunity at this conference touted to be the most memorable ever.
